What wood is the best for a baseball bat? I am in an adult league that plays half their games using wood.?
Don’t want to spend too much about $60 but what is the difference between bamboo, ash, maple, or stock wood?
Today most baseball bats are made out of ash, given their strength and flexibility. This includes the world’s most famous wooden bats, the Louisville Sluggers. You can use different hardwoods, but many are simply to heavy and brittle to shape into a good, regulation bat.
